Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust is an established Multi-Academy Trust of primary and secondary academies across the West Midlands.
Shireland Collegiate Academy is the founding school of Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust. This Academy has a national reputation for innovation, collaboration and inspiring individuals within our care, we aim to maintain this reputation throughout our Trust.
The Trust will continue to grow including the addition of three further brand new technology primary schools, and a Biomedical University Technical College, and the UK’s first school to be established in collaboration with a world class orchestra, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.

Despite teaching Science for so many years, I genuinely love teaching the L4L curriculum to Year 7. Having the time to work with just one group of students is brilliant for building relationships, getting to know families and ensuring that every child is making progress.
I enjoy having involvement in the development of the Academy’s environment and seeing the impact it has for our students. Working with some amazing staff, I feel extremely proud of what we have achieved so far.
Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust has supported me unconditionally since I joined and I’m proud to be a valued member of staff. Since joining our Trust, the educational outcomes for our students have improved significantly. All of our students, staff and families have benefitted from the experience, skills and knowledge of the Trust leaders I. personally feel very supported by our Trust colleagues and believe that our Trust have been instrumental in the transformation of Thorns.
My role was new to the Trust so from day one it has been a steep learning curve, but everyone I work with has been hugely supportive. My immediate team and line manager are keen to help me progress the role for the benefit of the Trust, but also my personal and professional development.
